Genealogy Tips and Tricks

New to family history and genealogical research? Undertaking any new venture can sometimes feel overwhelming.  Certified Genealogist, Patrick McCleary has worked with researchers for more than two decades to help make this journey as successful and rewarding as possible.

This program promises to be both fun and informative.  Beginning genealogists and even more experienced researchers will be given the opportunity to learn and pose questions. For those who attended our “Researching Historic Homes” class earlier in the year, you may find this the perfect opportunity to learn how to research previous homeowners and their connections to your properties of interest.

In either case, this lecture will provide a practical step-by-step guide for getting started as a genealogist and for breaking through roadblocks and “brick walls” in your research.

The talk begins at 5:30 pm on the second floor of the Harbor Springs History Museum and advanced registration is required.
