Volunteer with Us 

With a great schedule of events and activities put on during the year, the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society relies on volunteers to make each of these events a success. And with a variety of activities, we think we have just the right volunteer opportunity for you.

Throughout the year, the History Museum is in need of volunteers to help manage the front desk during museum hours. You will greet friends and neighbors, and welcome new visitors, while you introduce them to this beautiful old building in downtown Harbor Springs. We offer a volunteer training session and staff support during every volunteer shift. Our shifts are only for a few hours at a time so there will still be plenty of hours left in your day to tackle your to-do list.

Another great volunteer opportunity is to help with our various events including our monthly Harbor History Talks, Shay Days and special tours. If hospitality is your interest, we would love your help setting up refreshments and welcoming attendees at these various events.

If you are interested in other types of volunteer positions with the historical society, please let us know. The success of our museum relies on the presence of volunteers so please give serious consideration to lending a few hours of your time each month to the Harbor Springs History Museum.
