Resources
We are proud to offer free access to the genealogy website, Ancestry.com, to all visitors of the History Museum. You must be on site to use this access and we recommend bringing your own laptop. Please call us before your visit to ensure another meeting or program is not taking place in our upstairs library space.
Our archive has some resources that may be helpful to individuals researching their ancestors in the Harbor Springs area. We recommend searching surnames by keyword inside our collections database. Please note that we do not have vital records (birth, marriage, death) or property records. Individuals should consult the relevant county, state or federal agency for these items.

Appointments
We offer genealogy appointments geared towards helping guests learn to use the society’s subscription to Ancestry.com. Appointments are coordinated by curator Beth Wemigwase and are generally an hour long. For members of the Historical Society, one appointment each year is free. For any subsequent appointments, and for all non-members, there is a $25 fee.
